One day trip to Cameron Highlands!

To be honest, I wasn't really interested in going to Cameron Highlands at all.
I hadn't been to Cameron Highlands for my whole life until one night, when hubby and I were discussing on how to celebrate our 3 years 9 months anniversary (the next day) and this idea came into his mind.
A one day trip to Cameron Highlands.
I was like, "you crazy?! We haven't plan anything yet."
But, you know, YOLO!
So, we woke up early in the morning, and then we were on the way to Cameron Highlands.
Since it was a spontaneous trip, yes, we didn't have any plan.
But, thanks to my phone, thanks to my cellular data, I managed to do some research in the car, and I found some nice places to go.

Big Strawberry Farm!

There are many strawberry farms in Cameron Highlands and Big Strawberry Farm is one of the famous.
Free admission!
And, the weather was REALLY NICE!
SO COOLING!
I LOVE IT!

Other than strawberries, beautiful flowers and fresh vegetables can also be found in the farm.

Come and pick your own strawberries!
This has become one of the must-do activities when you visited Cameron Highlands!
2 people can only share a basket, perfect for the couples!
Pay RM50 deposit at the counter to get a basket, you'll also be given a pair of scissors.
One basket can hold around 1KG of strawberries and customers must pluck at least half KG of strawberries, which means the minimum spend will be RM25.
After you've plucked your strawberries, weigh them at the counter and the staff will return the balance to you.

Strawberries at Big Strawberry Farm

Minimum spend of RM25 for strawberries seems expensive, but the quality of the strawberries are guaranteed good and you can always pick the large strawberries if you want to, so no worries.

Look, hubby was trying to pick the best strawberries he could find...

While I was faking it for photos!

I'm sorry, I just can't stop taking photo!

Fresh and huge strawberries!

Strawberry desserts at Big Strawberry Farm

Big Strawberry Farm is also famous for their strawberry desserts!
They have a large variety of strawberry desserts, you may give it a try.
But, honestly, they just didn't taste good!

Boh Tea Plantation Sungai Palas at Cameron Highland

Boh Tea Plantation Sungai Palas!

Stunning view!
This place was much windier and cooler!
Free admission!

There's a cafe at the hilltop.
You get to enjoy the beautiful scenery while drinking a nice cup of hot tea. Ahhhh~
Too bad, the cafe was packed and we didn't managed to get a table.

The view was indeed stunning!

There's a field down the hill.
Not a bad place for photo either.

See? Not bad for a OOTD right?

Cameron Lavender

Cameron Lavender.

Admission fee:
-Adult: RM8
-Child: RM5

There were different kinds of lavenders and many other beautiful flowers in the garden.

People who love flowers would love this place.

Cameron Lavender

Had lavender ice-cream in Lavender garden!

Pretty flowers everywhere!

There's also a place in the garden where you can self-pick flowers.
Each flower cost RM2!

I've picked one!
Pretty pink flower.
But it was actually a waste of money as the flower withered immediately.
I killed a pretty little flower, kinda regret for doing this though.

Tea Field.

We just happened to pass by a tea field, so we stepped out from the car and take some quick photos in the tea bushes.

Bee Farm.

Free admission!
Didn't take any photo at this place because I'm not really interested in seeing bees.
In fact, I was afraid of them.
The only reason we came here was to get some honey.

Water Cress Valley at Cameron Highlands

Water Cress Valley.

It seems boring compared with any other attractions in Cameron Highland.
Like, who the heck will come all the way here to see water cress?
But, I must admit, this is indeed the best place for dinner in Cameron Highland!
It has an open air restaurant in the valley, so you get to enjoy the breeze while dining in.

It was getting late and the weather started getting cooler and cooler.

Best weather for traditional charcoal steamboat!

This was the healthiest steamboat I've ever had!
Most of the ingredients were vegetables and 80% of them were crops from Cameron Highland.
The soup base was homemade black bean soup!
Super good for health!
Seriously, can't find this anywhere in Malaysia, except here.
The weather was so cold even the steamboat failed to warm me up.

This cold water cress tea was so good!
Take away another cup of this, so that I can drink it in car while on the way home.
If you've ever had the water cress soup, the water cress tea tasted exactly the same as the soup, just that it was cold and you had to drink it from a cup.

Brought so many strawberries home.
The strawberries were so cheap!
Got 5 boxes of strawberries for only RM20 from a stall along the street!
Tips: You can always get cheap strawberries during or after 6pm, because the stalls are closing and they will give out huge discounts to the customers in order to sell out the products fast.

When I said I wasn't interested in going to Cameron Highlands and thought that the place was boring, I WAS SO WRONG!
The place is AWESOME, especially the weather OMG!
When I first step foot into Cameron Highlands, I immediately fell in love to this place.
Nice weather, nice food, nice scenery!
DEFINITELY WORTH A SECOND VISIT!
Cameron Highlands, I will be back again soon!

That's all for today.
Please stay tuned for more updates!
