Lala Noodles at Lai Foong Restaurant

Lala Noodles at Lai Foong Restaurant

Hey guys, welcome back to my blog! Well, my cover photo shows it all! Today, I'm going to write about this famous Lala Noodles from Lai Foong Restaurant that went viral on the Internet. The Lala noodles has been around for years I guess, but I don't know why it suddenly pops up on my social media pages recently, although I really have to admit, the lala noodles does look very tempting. So, without any hesitation, I dragged hubby to come along with me to find out how great the lala noodles is.

How to get a car park near Lai Foong?

I know this is everyone's main concern, so I'm going to share this little piece of information with you, hope this may help. Lai Foong Restaurant is located near Kasturi Walk, a lane running alongside the central market. Oh man, it was really difficult to find parking at that place and the traffic there is always BAD. We parked our car at Hotel Geo Kuala Lumpur and walked to Lai Foong Restaurant. Or, you may park your car at Central Market outdoor car park. Don't worry, it's not as far as it seems on the map, it's just 2 mins walking distance away from Lai Foong. :)

Finally, here comes the food!

It took about 20 mins to serve, but it's worth the wait. By looking at the number of clams they gave me just made me happy! Most importantly, they were all fresh and sweet! The broth tasted a tad spicy due to the shredded gingers but it's okay. Some alcohol was also added to the broth to make it more flavorful, but I was hoping it to taste stronger. Overall, the soup was good, although it's not as addictive enough to make you take it sip after sip.

Bonus: Lai Foong Beef Noodles

Here's also a little bonus for you. We tried the famous Beef noodles in Lai Foong restaurant. If you're the one that couldn't stand the "cowy" unpleasant flavour, you may give this a try. Hubby doesn't like the cowy taste either, but he was okay with this one. We had the Beef Offal(牛杂)Noodles, with some beef balls and meat. What I liked about the beef noodle was the remarkably tender beef meat! So tender that it almost melted in my mouth. <3

We visited Lai Foong on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant was stuffy due to the sultry weather and the crowd. So, we finished our food quickly and left that place to somewhere cooler, couldn't stay there any longer. Coming here early or at night may be a better idea.

Business hours: Opens daily from 6.30AM-9.30PM
